>> Pineda Lyric is a program of Pineda Conservatory of the Performing Arts
428 Jerusalem Road
Scotch Plains, NJ 07076
Volunteers are an integral part of Pineda Lyric's success. Whether you have an hour a week or just an hour a year; whether you're a musical prodigy or tone deaf; whether your handy with a scissor, a hammer or a word processor; we welcome your help.
More than 100 people - from performers and students onstage, stage managers and crew backstage and concession workers and ticket takers at the front of house - are involved in every Pineda production. What you might not know is that a majority of these people are volunteers (see sidebar).
Even some of the many professional singers and musicians working with our Young Artists donate their time and talent. This generosity helps us maintain a TUITION-FREE program.
Many local business owners donate their products and services to off-set production costs and keep ticket prices affordable.
Pineda Lyric offers a full range of production internships that provide high school students the opportunity to explore possible careers in the arts.
Internships are available year-round in production, direction, publicity, marketing, stage management, and set and art design. These internships extend Pineda Lyric's mission into creating the next generation of arts managers and non- profit leaders.
Past interns have gone on to study arts administration and managament at top college and university programs.
High school students interested in applying for an internship should call Valerie (908) 731-1377 or email email@example.com ATTN: Internships.
